2026 Professional Forum on Child Protection: "A Multi-disciplinary Forum on Mandatory Reporting of Child Abuse: From Legislation to Practice - Challenges and Responses"

Against Child Abuse (ACA) will host the Professional Forum on Child Protection, with the following details:

Date: March 13, 2026 (Friday)
Time: 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Venue: Auditorium, 1/F, Christian Family Service Centre, Tsui Ping Road, Kwun Tong, Kowloon.

We have invited experts from various sectors as guest speakers to conduct a discussion on the mandatory reporting mechanism and its related practical challenges. The forum aims to explore recommendations for enhancing cross-sectoral collaboration to ensure the successful implementation of the mechanism and the more effective protection of children’s wellbeing.

At the forum, ACA will also release the findings of two recent surveys: the Survey on the Opinions of Designated Professionals and the Survey on Parents’ Opinions regarding the Mandatory Reporting of Child Abuse Ordinance

Through these analyses, we aim to offer insights for the sector, highlight the support needs of professionals and parents, and foster stronger collaboration for effective implementation of the ordinance.
