(#EarlyBirdOffer) In-Service Training — Certificate Course on Identification, Assessment and Intervention of Suspected Child Abuse Case

Since its establishment in 2013, the Child Protection Institute under the Against Child Abuse has been dedicated to promoting professional child protection practices. We offer professional training courses to schools, groups, and institutions, aiming to enhance frontline staff's understanding of child protection, enabling them to identify risks earlier and handle suspected child abuse cases appropriately—ultimately safeguarding the welfare and rights of children.

In recent years, increasing public concern about child abuse incidents and positive parenting has reflected a growing awareness of child protection in society. With the Mandatory Reporting of Child Abuse Ordinance soon to take effect, professionals must prepare in advance, familiarise themselves with legal requirements and response guidelines, and be equipped to fulfil their duty to report and protect victimised children.

We are launching an in-service training course for frontline workers on Wednesday, 20 August 2025 — the Certificate Course on "Identification, Assessment and Intervention of Suspected Child Abuse Case". The content is tailored to current professional needs and is particularly suitable for those who will become designated reporters under the new ordinance. Participants will acquire essential skills in risk assessment, intervention, case handling, and referral follow-up.

Professionals from the social welfare and education sectors who work with children are welcome to enrol. Interested parties, please register now via https://forms.gle/Wto3uuHkxfLZuczk9 — spaces are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
